The title refers to the artworks as the series of five photographs portrays a surveillance of a silent and almost dead area. My photographs centrally reflect subjective elements through the dark overtone and the dominant green, evoking a strong emotional response, with feelings of uncertainty, obscurity and observation dominating the work, while the subject matter of footpaths and green hold symbolic value. The green has a range of different symbolism with superstitious associations with misfortune and death, while the crossing footpaths symbolise the idea of journey.
