The idea for my artwork arose when the family PC had a severe virus problem, mainly spyware. After recently teaching myself Macromedia Flash I decided to create a digital animation around the concept of viruses and the Internet. Several ideas emerged from this, including asking the question of people becoming so dependent in technology that we would risk our lives to protect it, and also a sci-fi theme of the viruses being an active race who claim that humans merely discovered Internet rather than created it.
