Dada without my Dadda
Film/video

I combined my growing interest in the art movement of Dada and its theology, particularly the lack of boundaries between art and life, with my own personal issue of experiencing the absence of a father. When I stumbled upon the intricacies of Dada theory and the great minds of Tristan Tzara, Hugo Ball and the like, I began to make a connection between the absurd nature of both art and life, with the pervading thought of the ridiculous in my own world - my problems encountered as I grew up without my father, my “Dadda” I began to manifest my ideas through collection of intimate moments on film; actions and behaviour that I found especially curious, interesting and beautiful.
