Déjà Vécu (Latin – 'Already Lived') is one of three types of paramnesia, more commonly known as déjà vu. It occurs when a patient feels as though they have already lived or repeated a situation they have just experienced. This theory intrigues me as I believe it shows that there is more to the human mind and psyche than we could ever begin to understand through scientific study. The film is designed as an installation view to be played on a continuous loop, outlining the ambiguous nature of the human mind's ability to recognise previously lived experiences.
