Fingers and fists explores my love for the potent connection between art and music, images and sounds. In many ways I’ve found that music is dominant; while images and our perception of them can be easily moulded by a soundtrack, sounds themselves nearly always dictate the pictures or impressions people see imaginatively. It’s a vulnerable relationship – this is why I wanted my body of work EP covers to be handmade. Writing my own music made me think of art, and all the art I made seemed to relate back to music. My teacher then suggested I combine that which was already inseparable.
