Living in large, modern, overcrowded cities can be overwhelmingly lovely. You see thousands of people everyday but you are alone – being so close but so separated from society keeping you removed and anonymous. Underground in an inner city railway station; your feeling of vulnerability is heightened; you are unaware of what these people have done before or what they might be capable of doing. There is no better medium to express this mood than with large-scale prints from medium-format photography with photographic voyeuristic undertones: the mystery and movement of innocent and not-so-innocent people disappearing off an underground railway station platform.
